Stamp Club Project #2 - Butterfly Hand Sanitizer

Our second project uses the butterfly punches to decorate a holder for a hand sanitizer.  This would be a simple little gift for Mother's Day.

The holder is made from a 2 1/8" X 8 1/2" piece of cardstock, which was scored at 1", 2", 4 1/4", and 5 1/4".  Add a 2" X 1" piece of DSP to the top of the solid cardstock and a 2" X 2" to the front.  We used the 3/4" Scallop Punch to punch out a hole to put the the lid of the hand sanitizer through.  The front of the holder was decorated with the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches.  Easy project and 5 can be made from a single piece of cardstock.

Stamp Club Project #1 - Swallowtail

Our first project for Stamp Club this month used the Swallowtail background stamp.  The detail on this stamp is incredible.  We embossed the swallowtail with white embossing powder on Whisper White card stock.  Sponge daubers were used to add Crumb Cake ink over the entire stamp.  Then Pool Party and More Mustard were added to sections on the butterfly.  The look is very soft and pretty.  A sentiment from the Amazing Family Stamp Set was embossed in Early Expresso.

If you have not tried this stamp yet, I encourage you to get it.  The results are so dramatic!

Triangle Favor Boxes

A couple of weeks ago, I found these boxes on Pinterest.  The link took me to Julie Davison's blog.  She posted several different animals over the course of about a week.  I thought they were so cute and just had to "case" a few of them.  I changed up the faces a bit.  The next time I will add some texture to the lamb by using the Perfect Polka Dots or Lacey Brocade Texture folders.
I have a few more to post so check back in a few days.

Project Details
2 1/2" X 5" piece of cardstock for the base
Stampin' Up punches:  Large Oval, 1 3/4" Scallop, 3/4" Square, Owl Builder Punch, Cupcake Builder Punch, Small Oval, 1/2" Circle, Scallop Oval.
A variety of Stampin' Up ribbon

April Pals Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us for the April Pals Blog Hop! To celebrate Earth Day, the April blog hop  features new cards and projects that capture the essence of Earth Day through colors and images and/or use recycled or reused elements. We hope you are ready for some fun and creative ideas.
You should have just left stop number 2 on the Pals Hop - Katy McGloin at Just Fun Stamping. If so, you are in the right spot.  If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations

I chose to use recycle items for my project today.  Can you identify the recycled items?  Hint: there are two items being used.
My favorite drink stop is the Sonic.  I treat myself to a Diet Cherry Coke a couple of times a week.  This past weekend I picked up several drinks and this great drink carrier.  It was perfect for two reasons-it was a great item to decorate for the blog hop and secondly, it will be filled with items for t for my sister's wedding.  My sister is getting married on Saturday and I have decided to fill the carrier with "Survival Kit" items for the wedding day.  Survival Kit items include water and drink mixes, notepad, lotion, lip balm, emery board, travel toothbrush and toothpaste, mint gum, Tylenol, Tums, safety pins, and energy bars.

I used Cherry Cobbler, Early Expresso, and Crumb Cake to stamp the leaves and two flowers from the Secret Garden set. Early Edition DSP and Cherry Cobbler cardstock form the band around the box.  They also hide the Sonic logo.  Creative, aren't I?

Here is a close up of the tag, which was made with Apothecary Art and the Labels Framelits.  There is a tag on the front and the back of the carrier.

Did you notice the paper shred inside the holder?  It was made from the brown packing paper found inside every Stampin' Up order.  I save the paper from every order and I am always on the lookout for ways to use it.  I folded the paper into a stack and used the Tabletop Paper Cutter to cut several strips.

Here are the two water bottles I decorated using the new Spring Surprise stamp set - A Round Array.

Quick and Simple card

Baja Breeze and Lucky Limeade were used to stamp flowers from the Secret Garden stamp set on the Whisper White card front.  The "Thanks So Much" from the Oh, Hello set was stamped in Old Olive.  The card base is a 4 1/4" X 11" piece of Baja Breeze which was scored at 5 1/2".  I punched 2 flowers with one of the Itty Bitty Punches and added them to the centers of two flowers.  Rhinestones were added for a touch of bling.  A special card made in about 10 minutes.

All Dressed Up Posies

Today's card is another project using the All Dressed Up framelits and the flowers from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit.

The En Francais background stamp is one of my favorites.  I stamped the Very Vanilla card front with Crumb Cake.  The dressmaker's form is cut from Basic
Black with All Dressed Up framelit.  Two of the Pool Party flowers were cut in half and adhered to the dressmaker's form with sticky strip to make a pretty skirt.  The Pool Party ribbon and 5/8" Flower trim add a special touch to the waist of the skirt.  Check out the chevron background behind the sentiment.  It is a great stamp from the Oh Hello stamp set. If you have not gotten this stamp set yet, don't miss out.  It is a must have from the Spring Catalog.
